The MuseumsMeileMitte is a shared cultural and urban space in Berlin-Mitte. It connects the neighbourhood with four major museums around Invalidenstraße, the main railway station, Humboldthafen and Invalidenpark: the Futurium, the Hamburger Bahnhof – National Gallery of Contemporary Art, the Berlin Museum of Medical History at the Charité and the Museum of Natural History Berlin. Which museums are part of the MuseumsMeileMitte?
The MuseumsMeileMitte includes:

How far apart are the museums?
The museums are just a few minutes’ walk apart. For example, the Berlin Museum of the History of Medicine is just under 200 metres from the Futurium. The footpaths and cycle paths between the museums invite you to explore the neighbourhood. Can I visit several museums in one day?
Yes, that depends entirely on you and your interests. The MuseumsMeileMitte can be explored flexibly: as a short stroll, as a day’s programme with visits to several museums, or as a return visit. Do I need a separate ticket for each museum?
Yes. Generally, there is no single ticket valid for all museums on the MuseumsMeileMitte. You can find information on ticket prices on the websites of the respective museums. An exception is made for joint open days, such as the annual summer neighbourhood festival or the Lange Nacht der Museen (Long Night of Museums). On these days, a single ticket is available for all participating museums.

How do I get to the MuseumsMeileMitte?
The MuseumsMeileMitte is centrally located in Berlin-Mitte and is very easily accessible by public transport. An ideal starting point is Berlin Central Station, as the entire MuseumsMeileMitte is just a few minutes’ walk from here. Other key public transport stops in the vicinity include the Natural History Museum, Invalidenpark and the Central Station. Alternatively, you can travel by car, though you should use one of the public car parks (e.g. directly at Berlin Central Station), as on-street parking is very limited.
Which public transport services go to the MuseumsMeileMitte?
The best way to reach the MuseumsMeileMitte is via Berlin Central Station. In addition to long-distance trains, a large number of regional trains and S-Bahn lines stop here. There are also connections to the U5 underground line, the M5, M8 and M10 tram lines, and numerous bus routes.

Between the museums lie squares, paths, waterfronts and historic and newly developed sites that make a visit interesting even outside of the exhibitions. As part of our city walk, we also offer a free guided tour of the neighbourhood once a month.

The MuseumsMeileMitte is not a single enclosed site, but an open urban space. The museums each have their own opening hours. On the “Museums” page, you will also find information on opening hours for each museum.
Do I need a ticket for the MuseumsMeileMitte?
You do not need a ticket for the MuseumsMeileMitte urban space.
Tickets are only required for individual museums, exhibitions, guided tours or events. Some activities are free of charge, others require a fee. Please check the website of the respective museum for details.
Is there a single ticket for all museums on the MuseumsMeileMitte?
No, there is no single ticket. You can find information on ticket prices on the websites of the respective museums. However, joint open days, such as the annual summer neighbourhood festival or the Lange Nacht der Museen (Long Night of Museums), are an exception, as a single ticket is available for all participating museums in Berlin.
Another alternative is the Museum Pass Berlin, which allows you to visit over 30 museums in Berlin. This also includes the museums on the MuseumsMeileMitte.

The Neighbourhood Festival is an annual joint event held in the summer by MuseumsMeileMitte. The museums and partners in the neighbourhood open their doors with exhibitions, talks, music, guided tours, interventions and activities for children and families. During the Neighbourhood Festival, admission to exhibitions in all MuseumsMeileMitte museums is free.

Yes, there are actually a large number of additional activities. Are dogs allowed?
