The Hamburger Bahnhof was one of Berlin’s major terminus stations in the 19th century – a place of arrival, departure and transition. To this day, this history shapes the museum of contemporary art in the heart of Berlin. Like Berlin itself, the Hamburger Bahnhof is full of complexity and contrasts, with change as its constant.
Berlin Beats: Regis live & Liam Andrews / Sandwell District

Karl O’Connor, aka Regis, is a key figure in British techno and has run the Downwards label since 1993, known for its radical, unconventional approach. Liam Andrews has spent two decades exploring experimental post-punk and develops atonal, industrial compositions under the AICHER moniker. The two share a long-standing artistic collaboration across projects and releases.
Sandwell District, consisting of Regis and Function, returned in 2025 after more than a decade. The duo refines its stark, uncompromising sound while honouring the legacy of late member Silent Servant.
